Job DescriptionJob Description

The Support Services for Adults Center Manager ensures quality Day Habilitation services on site and in the community. This position is responsible for the hiring, training, growth, and development of the staff. The Center Manager is also responsible for the overall daily operations of each facility and the safety and welfare of the persons served, staff, families, and any other participants. This position will also be responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the individual planning process and needs of each person served.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinates facility and vehicle upkeep and maintenance.
  • Provides oversight of facility budget and finances.
  • Oversees the safety and welfare of all our persons served, staff, family, and visitors.
  • Assists persons served with hygiene, physical, and mobility needs as necessary.
  • Responsible for all medication administration details: policy, implementation, training, storage, documentation, as well as passing medications to persons served when needed.
  • Completes reports as necessary.
  • Anticipates, analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves problems.
  • Effectively communicates, builds rapport, and relates well to all people.
  • Procures volunteer sites as needed for persons served community participation.
  • Passes medications without error as applicable.
  • Completes and maintains all required trainings.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • Coordinates Individual Plans for SSA persons served.
  • Responsible for employee training as it relates to persons served plans, goals, support, and behavioral issues.


Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff regarding the daily operations of the centers.
  • Responsible for Center employee relations.
  • Provide Center staff training as needed.
  • Hire/fire and supervise staff in adequate numbers to meet the Community Living, Inc. persons’ served needs.
  • Positively engage and collaborate with SSA Management team and Department Director.
  • Prioritize a positive work culture within Center, Department, an Agency.
  • Readily shares Center resources / staff, Departmentally and Agency wide, when operationally necessary.


Qualifications:
Education, Experience, Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is required.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience is preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate, listen, and direct team members in a constructive and timely manner. Must be able to deal with issues by utilizing tact and diplomacy.
  • Must be able to write and document in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Possess the ability to use Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.


Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Driver’s License


Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • Moderate Work – Exerts up to 50lbs of force occasionally and 20lbs frequently. Standing, sitting, reaching, typing, and walking are common.
  • Majority of work is completed in an indoor setting with a temperate controlled environment.
