A. Duda & Sons, Inc. has an opening for an hourly paid Accounting Assistant II at the corporate office in Oviedo, FL. The Accounting Assistant II will be responsible for working with the Accounts Payable team on daily assigned tasks and assisting the different business locations and external vendors with questions or issues and resolving them timely. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

Review DAX Invoice Journals, Automated Disbursement Vouchers (ADVs), and DocLink invoices for accuracy, such as vendor, invoice date, invoice number, invoice amount, payment terms, and appropriate approvals. - (shared team task)

  • Process Payment Journals for vendor payments (checks) three times a week.
  • Import, index, and merge supporting documents into DocLink for void checks and payment journals. 
  • Review Purchase Orders for the appropriate documentation (PO, Product Receipt, Invoice) and Post for payment. 
  • Process expense reports daily. 
  • Backup to Mail room assistant as needed. 

Requirements and Qualifications 

An Associate Degree in Accounting and 3 years of previous accounting experience are highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing are also required.
