OVERVIEW:

The Practice Director / Manager will be responsible for the overall operations, development, and success of Williamston Primary & Specialty Clinic. The Practice Director / Manager, will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, public, Physicians, and staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Direct oversite of LPN’s and Medical Assistants
  2. Plans, assigns, and directs work assignments ensuring adequate and efficient staffing
  3. Identifies staff education needs and is responsible for staff education, compliance with all safety
  4. Knowledge of how to work computer and EHR
  5. Ensures appropriate ordering, receiving, and utilization of supplies and medications

RESPONSIBILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  1. Support Mission, Vision, and Values as well as demonstrate the company’s code of conduct in all duties
  2. Strategic leader who oversees and takes ownership of a clinical operations or market for Williamston Primary & Specialty Clinic
  3. Provide support to rural health clinic and the hospital operations related to physicians, including primary care, specialists, and subspecialists who practice in the clinic
  4. Ongoing communication and interactions with the relevant hospital executive leadership from both a strategic and tactical standpoint
  5. Developing educational planning programs, allocating and assigning duties to manager and employees, plus monitoring the actives and operations of all components of the market to ensure the market meets the objectives
  6. Demonstrates an uncompromising commitment to delivering exceptional care to create an unmatched value proposition for our patients
  7. Identifies opportunities for improvement and innovation, removes barriers and resistance, and enables desirable behavior
  8. Collaborates effectively with division service line leaders and hospital business development leaders. Proactively identities practice/business development opportunities to increase market share
  9. Meets regularly with physicians to review market strategy, financial performance, and key performance indicators
  10. Leads and takes ownership of the practice portfolio to achieve operation goals in collaboration with hospital partners. Acts as a strategic leader responsible for all results associated with his/her assigned market area
  11. Creates and maintains effective, polished, and intentional communications between all levels of personnel, including key hospital executives and team members.
  12. Oversees the daily/monthly expenditures, staffing and overtime hours to ensure financial targets are met and/or exceeded
  13. Provides consistent coaching and mentoring to team members
  14. Oversees physician recruiting and contracting in collaboration with AHP colleagues
  15. Promotes consistent patient interactions that advance the agenda of increased patient satisfaction
  16. Develops and oversees implementation and administration of internal operations policies and procedures in conjunctions with Physician Services standards policies and procedures. Interprets applicable laws, rules, and regulations to maintain clinic compliance
  17. Perform any other duties that may be necessary for the operation of the corporation and/or hospital
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma
  2. Bachelor’s Degree required
  3. Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred
  4. Degree in health or business administration preferred
  5. Three plus years of leadership experience in practice management
  6. Five plus years clinical operation experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods of time
  2. Manual dexterity and use of a calculator or computer keyboard.
  3. Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting.
  4. Occasionally lifts to 50 pounds
  5. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal ranges.
  6. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
  7. Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a hospital and/or clinic environment
