Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care by preparing examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-organized, and arranging necessary medical equipment and supplies.
- Obtain and record patients' medical history, vital signs, and other pertinent information.
- Provide support during medical assisting with wound care, and administering medications as directed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, addressing their questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and respect.
- Obtain EKGs and blood draws, perform IV placements, Flu/strep swabs, etc.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all privacy and HIPAA regulations.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the medical practice by collaborating with healthcare team members, and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant with relevant training and experience.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
