ICS seeks faculty and staff who support our mission and values, who are committed to nurturing learners as individuals, and who are looking to join a vibrant community of professionals who are passionate about education. This is a 10-month position.
Responsibilities:
- Work one-to-one with Middle and Upper School students enrolled in the Learning Support program to develop and strengthen their executive function skills.
- Teach one section of Middle School Humanities.
- Create a positive classroom culture and community, and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Coordinate with teachers, academic advisors, administrators, the MS and US learning specialist, and learning support colleagues to advocate for and support student progress.
- Communicate executive function growth with families.
- Collaborate with learning support colleagues to provide a high-quality, consistent experience for all students enrolled in the Learning Support program.
- Other faculty responsibilities such as duties, attending faculty meetings, advising, and as assigned by the Upper School or Middle School principal.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- Experience and interest in individualized executive function coaching
- Demonstrated experience/expertise in differentiated instruction, learning success skills instruction, and small group teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate a positive and trusting learning environment
- An educational philosophy that aligns with the mission and vision of Indian Creek School
- Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft products
- Federal, State background clearance and compliance with MSDE Employment History Review.
