Job Overview:

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the administrative duties for the Human Resources department, which includes the recruitment process, updating employee records, onboarding and orientation, and are not limited to other general HR duties.

Location:

Tinley Park, On-Site

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responding to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
  • Redirect HR related questions, calls or topics to the appropriate person of the team.
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
  • Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits, etc.)
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc., and maintain the team’s agenda.
  • Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Prepares new-employee files.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects.
  • Support other functions as assigned.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years related experience required.
  • Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience with an HRIS database is preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to work within a team setting and as an individual contributor.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Excellent organization skills.

  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills.
