We are currently looking for a Validation Chemist to work on a 3-6 month contract project with our team

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform analytical method validations to ICH guidelines, including documentation and data generation as required.
• Develop analytical test methods for analysis of a range of active pharmaceutical ingredients, over the counter (OTC) drugs, cosmetics, nutritional products and supplements using a range of laboratory techniques.
• Trouble shooting of difficult methods or products, including investigation of out of specification (OOS) results.
• Routine testing of customer products to GMP requirements.
• May assist in overseeing work conducted by lab technicians or assistants.
• Will be expected to work cross functionally to assist all departments in response to business needs.
• Perform other similar duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a BS in chemistry or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in an analytical laboratory. 5+ years of experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with 21 CFR 210 and 211 and ISO 17025 standards is preferable.
• Experience performing analytical test method validations and verifications is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in 3rd party product testing of raw materials, OTC products, dietary supplements, vitamins, and nutritional products is preferred.
• Previous experience of working in a GMP or other regulatory environment and/or familiarity with USP, AOAC or similar test methods is desirable.
• Must have in depth knowledge and experience with major analytical testing equipment such as HPLC, GC and ICP.
• Must have good attention to detail, be able to follow protocols and SOP’s, be able to statistically analyze and review data, be able to produce summary reports.
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of the wider analytical chemistry team.
• Must be computer literate. Be able to work with Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other communications/computer components.
• Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens
• Noise level varies from quiet to loud.
• Temperature varies from hot to cold.
• Interactive and fast-paced team-oriented tasks.
• Overnight Travel is required at the discretion of management.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Color vision and depth perception required.
