ATX Jerky in Elgin, TX is looking for a sales associate to join our farmer's market team. Our sales team members are generally outdoors working at a local farmer's market around the greater Austin area, but sometimes do work festivals or special events, upon request. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged. Shifts are mainly on Saturday's from 7:30am to 1:30pm or Sunday's from 8:30am to 2:30pm, but there are some shifts during the week available as well.

We are a small, family run business. We offer flexible hours and some company perks as well Everyone on our team is fun & engaging, and when you work at the local farmer's markets you really get to know your regular customers and meet a lot of new people

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes customers by greeting them and offering them assistance.
  • Directs customers by escorting them to our products.
  • Advises customers by providing information on products.
  • Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing cash or credit cards.
  • Use judgment to solve customer problems
  • Maintains scheduling commitments
  • Pick up & transport company product and equipment


Qualifications

  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Excellent verbal skills
  • Able to problem solve as issues arise
  • Be able to lift 40 pound weights and a 45 pound tent
  • Be able to set up equipment i.e. tent, tables, put out product according to company standards
  • Have a vehicle for transporting company product & equipment

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Mondays. Compensation is $17.00 - $35.00/hour.

About ATX Jerky: Who are we? We are beef jerky artists. Testing each flavor to perfection, alongside our unique texture, and tenderness is our recipe for amazing jerky. It all began in the northern woods, making jerky for our trips to the wilderness using a simple dehydrator with pre-mixed flavor packets. This quickly evolved into experimenting with various spices turning the kitchen into a laboratory. Here we are today, spreading flavor to the masses with our growing beef jerky varieties.
