A Day in the Life as a Patient Care Coordinator: You will experience busy days in a call center environment with the expectation of processing (but not limited to) 45 calls per day. You will assist callers with appointment scheduling, obtaining patient information/insurance/financial information, process incoming referrals, verifying benefits/eligibility/authorization for both new and established patients. You will coordinate and respond to patients/referring providers in a timely manner and ensure patient satisfaction. Our best Patient Care Coordinators have the opportunity to transition into other departments within our Call Center. You can expect to be scheduled Mondays-Fridays with shifts starting as early as 8am and ending as late as 6:30pm (8 hour shifts). No weekends
You are an ideal candidate if…
- You have previous healthcare call center experience
To ensure success in this role, you must…
- Be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent
- Have previous experience as a medical receptionist/front desk or related experience
- Have knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10 and CPT coding and procedures
- Be able to type at least 40 wpm
- Be able to multi-task consistently and work in a fast-paced environment
You can expect to earn a starting rate of $17 hourly with the ability to transition to $18 hourly if interested in further training
