Platforms Engineer

As a Platforms Engineer at iBASE-t, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and platforms that power our digital manufacturing solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance. Your expertise in cloud technologies, automation, and monitoring will contribute to the success of our products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and resilient cloud-based architectures for our software platforms.
  • Automate deployment, configuration, and management of platforms and infrastructure using DevOps principles.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on system performance metrics to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for platforms and infrastructure.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in platform engineering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Platforms Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements
