Begin your career in technology by joining one of the fastest growing industries. An entry level cabling installer will receive in-depth technical and safety training before continuing their experience in the field. This candidate will work directly with a supervisor to install and maintain voice and data telecommunication cabling networks. Candidates may work in commercial buildings and in some cases, outdoors.  


Fast track candidates may receive opportunities for growth through BICSI® Certified Education and Certifications.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Knowledge of standard construction safety practices (OSHA 10 a plus)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills


Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must pass a criminal background check and pass a drug test
  • Must be willing to work anywhere in Houston and surrounding area
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule when needed


Abilities:

  • Lift up to 75 pounds at one time and at least 50 pounds for an extended period of time.
  • Fully utilize and relocate a 10-12 foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Works at various heights up to 60 feet; can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  • Full ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, turn, twist, crawl, squat, walk, climb, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see the differences in colors, shades, and brightness
  • Possess the ability to understand and communicate in English at a minimum conversational level.
  • Meet any and all OSHA safety requirements.
