Job Location: Winston Salem, NC branch office
Job Summary:
The Accounts Specialist will be responsible for managing the financial transactions related to accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices, collections, and resolving discrepancies. This role will involve maintaining positive relationships with clients, monitoring outstanding balances, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure efficient cash flow management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner
- Apply payments received from customers to their respective accounts accurately and promptly
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Resolve any discrepancies or unidentified payments promptly
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including aging analysis and cash flow projections
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Initiate collection efforts through phone calls, letters, or other communication methods to resolve outstanding balances and escalate collection issues to management as needed
- Other ad hoc requests as assigned
- Demonstrates proper etiquette in dealing with confidential information
Job Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Ideal candidate will have 3+ years accounts receivable experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with NetSuite is an additional plus
Job Competencies:
- Ability to use computers, including Windows-based programs
- Excellent speaking and written communication skills required

Work Environment:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
