Teacher Responsibilities

Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment by:

  • Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in your classroom.
  • Understanding and implementing, when necessary, The Goddard Schools emergency procedures.
  • Posting schedules that meet the childrens need for routine and learning.
Ensuring a well-run, purposeful program responsive to participant needs by:

  • Building teamwork.
  • Developing lesson plans.
  • Managing your classroom according to The Goddard School standards.
These positions are supervised and evaluated by the Director but receives work support and assignments from the Director, Owner or Assistant Director.

A Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, a Lead Teacher and an Assistant Teacher are responsible to work together and in conjunction with the entire faculty.

The Goddard School faculty is made of caring and dedicated teachers who understand each childs needs. The faculty members are highly qualified childhood educators who use their creativity and the state specific learning outcomes as the basis for unique lesson plans brought to life in a fun and imaginative way.
