Performs transportation duties necessary to support manufacturing and transportation operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Drives trucks and trailers between facilities 35%
  2. Delivers and loads freight as required 25%
  3. Maintains schedule in accordance to facility needs 10%
  4. Performs washing of trailer interiors and documents action 10%
  5. Fuels equipment as needed 10%
  6. Assists team by loading and unloading trailers 10%
  7. Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor On-going
  8. Other activities and duties as assigned On-going

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK:

  1. Education/Experience: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school: or six months to one-year related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Certifications: Class "A" CDL and current DOT medical certification; forklift certification preferred
  3. Comprehends operational aspects of equipment operation
  4. Experience in organizational skills, documentation, and technical understanding
  5. Ability to explain comprehensive operational issues
  6. Teamwork, problem solving, mechanical aptitude, self-directed work ethic
  7. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas effectively and efficiently
  8. Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  9. Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company
  10. Ability to meet attendance requirements

Travel Requirements:

  1. Travel up to __10__% of the time should be expected
  2. Travel may be required with little warning and/or for extended periods of time. Off-site deployment of up to __2___ weeks could be expected
