AMECO, based in Greenville, SC is looking for an executive assistant to support our CEO and Executive Team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. This person should have experience working in an office environment, performing administrative duties, and providing support to executive leaders.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the executive assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the CEO, a dispersed Executive Team located in Greenville, Houston, and Kansas City, and managing the organization’s office operations. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. This position will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to manage a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Roles and Responsibilities

Executive Support

  • Support the CEO and executive team members, to ensure that company goals and objectives are accomplished and that operations run efficiently.
  • Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the CEO including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries and agendas; compiling documents for meetings and other tasks that facilitate the CEO’s ability to effectively lead the company.
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the CEO, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
  • Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the CEO's office and internal departments, demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support with executive management staff.
  • Keeps the CEO and executive team members well informed of upcoming commitments, responsibilities and following up appropriately.


Board Support and Liaison

  • Serves as the CEO's administrative liaison to AMECO’s board of directors.
  • Assists board members with travel arrangements, lodging, and meal planning as needed.
  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality in relationships with all board members.

Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information related to the company and its employees.
  • Strong time-management skills and an ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects.
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools and an aptitude for learning new software and systems.
  • Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and work-related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed.
