Position Description

Service Technician – Energy Storage Service Technician

Work Location: 185 Grassy Plain Street, Bethel, CT 06801, USA

The Service Technician position is responsible for customer and technical support, maintenance, and documentation of Powr2 Powerbank units. Including but not limited to:

  • Customer support, customer phone calls, and responding to customer emails
  • Travel to customer sites for maintenance, training and repair on units as needed (domestic and international travel)
  • Customer onboarding and documentation in HubSpot
  • Maintenance, documentation, and upkeep of unit logs
  • Managing of assigned service tickets in HubSpot
  • Remote diagnosing of customer units
  • Working with warranty and non-warranty claims
  • Document and report quality issues from units in the field to our quality team
  • Assisting the Technical Support Manager with all service-related issues
  • Assist with customer spare part quotations.
  • Submit manufacturing defects; manage the RMA process
  • Reporting of non-conforming parts with the Purchasing Coordinator
  • Email and outlook calendar management
  • Updating of unit documentation

Potential growth opportunities: Production Supervisor, Quality Manager, Engineering Design.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics
  • Electrician/Electronics certification preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in electrical installation/assembly work
  • Attention to detail
  • Quick learner
  • High level of initiative
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Able to work with little supervision
  • Workspace organization and cleanliness
  • Passion for efficiency
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift minimum of 40lbs and up to 90lbs
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety guidelines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to travel to customer sites – 35% of the time
