What are the Responsibilities?


Strategic Production Planning:

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and execute comprehensive production plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer demands
  • Implement best practices for efficient production processes, people and resource utilization

Performance Analysis and Improvement:

  • Utilize Production work center performance data, financial metrics, and activity reports to track and enhance production efficiency
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Six Sigma and lean methodologies 

Production Personnel Management:

  • Oversee and provide leadership to daily production activities and teams, ensuring personnel’s adherence to quality standards and production schedules
  • Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and improve production personnel performance
  • Recruit, train, mentor, review performance, Pay, and supervise production personnel staff and maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet organizational and customer needs

Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

  • Develop a budget and oversee its maintenance, emphasizing resource optimization, maximizing production capacity, determining an optimal production team size, and reducing waste, all while adhering to the labor budget.
  • Identify and recommend investments in technology and equipment to enhance production capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal departments to manage priorities and capabilities
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination to drive seamless operations

Quality Systems Development:

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve quality management systems to meet and exceed industry standards
  • Lead efforts to achieve and maintain relevant certifications, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements

Safety, Compliance, and Facilities Management:

  • Ensure a safe working environment through the implementation and enforcement of safety protocols
  • Oversee facilities management to support efficient and safe production processes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Responsibilities are not limited to what is listed above

 

Do You Fit the Bill?

  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management
  • Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Ability to manage Maintenance planning systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Eight years of related experience
  • Six Sigma green belt and lean experience preferred

 Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
