Scope and Purpose:

We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to work as part of the IT team to design and develop custom software solutions for both internal and external facing web-based applications. The position requires deep understanding of the software development life cycle including the planning, design, development and implementation, deployment, and maintenance stages. They also require deep understanding of different programming languages, frameworks, tools, design patterns and coding best practices.


This is a Houston based hybrid position.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working in an agile development environment using Azure DevOps.
  • Implementing user stories.
  • Fixing bugs.
  • Mentoring other team members.
  • Technology Stack:
    • Databases: MS SQL Server and MongoDB
    • Frameworks: Web API, ASP.NET, .NET Standard, .NET Framework, EntityFramework, VueJS, Vuex, Bulma, WinForms, WebForms
    • Languages: JavaScript, C#, SQL, HTML
    • Others: Git, NPM, Webpack, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Studio 3T, SSMS, ETL, and Microservices
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field, or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Deep understanding of:
    • MongoDB, MS SQL Server
    • C#, JavaScript
    • OOP, REST API, Web API, MVC, async programming, multi-tier architecture, ORM
    • HTML, CSS, SPA frameworks
    • Unit testing frameworks
  • Strong debugging skills.
  • Exceptional quality standards.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC phases and methodologies, agile, waterfall, and etc.
  • Must be adaptable.

This position may require light travel within a ten-mile radius from one office location to another as needed.
