RADIOLOGY MANAGER

Our client, a multispecialty group of renowned physicians and specialist teams providing advanced diagnostics and innovative treatments in the New York Metro area, is hiring a Radiology Manager.
Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day operations and performance of the two locations.
  • Operations management, business development, and financial management of all services provided by Radiology.
  • Function as a key liaison for maintaining and building the outpatient referring network.
  • Participate in central Radiology councils to provide decision making and technical expertise for the development of supplies, service contracts, and capital purchases.
  • Directly manages the hiring, training, quality oversight, safety, and overall technical performance of staff
  • Serves on departmental and organizational committees.
  • Communicate with physicians, physicists, nurses, radiology, administrators, nurse practitioners, patient advocacy representatives and various members of other clinical and administrative departments, as well as the public.
  • Directly manages day-to-day operations of the MEAC, including management of techs, administrative staff, physician assistants, and other support staff. 
  • Works with the Director of Revenue Cycle Operations to oversee financial performance of the outpatient sites, including development of the budget and personnel expenses. 
  • Monitors and manages efficient utilization of resources, including staff, to ensure that we are maximizing our clinical output and financial return through appropriate allocation of resources and services. 
  • Develop team, both technical and non-technical, to effectively manage and lead an efficient, high quality, and patient centric atmosphere, using data analytics and lean methodology while increasing frontline staff engagement.
  • Partners with the Executive Director to develop and implement a vision for service excellence and patient-centered Radiology, including the measurement of performance and training of staff in patient experience.
  • In Partnership with the Medical Director, Medical Physicists, and local administrators ensures compliance with current American College of Radiology (ACR) standards.
  • Collaborates with department administration and physician leaders on business plan development to introduce and support new clinical programs or technologies, as well as monitoring reports of overall volume, equipment utilization, market share, and other KPIs for Radiology operations throughout the outpatient network. 
  • Leads and collaborates on specific projects as it relates to operations and process improvement.
  • Standardizes operating procedures and effectively troubleshoots and resolves issues as they arise.
  • Works with the Executive Director and Clinical Supervisor to maintain existing policies and identify new policies. Ensures management and staff have knowledge of existing policies and communicates inter and intradepartmental policy and procedure changes to management and staff. 
  • Ensures all clinical licenses and ARRT documentation are maintained and that the Department meets the guidelines for ACR, NYS DOH and Joint Commission.
  • Develops a collaborative relationship with key stakeholders, including other departments and physicians to obtain feedback, support, and promote the department’s operational and strategic goals, and maintain the highest standards of quality care, patient safety, and customer service. 
  • Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • 5 years of experience (Preferred)
  • Radiological license (Preferred)
  • Have conducted ACR for one or two of the following NM, CT, US, Mammo and MRI
  • Experience in either or all DOH, MQSA and Joint Commission
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Power Point.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work with people at different levels of understanding and to motivate them to change/focus to ensure departmental success
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional groups and participate in problem solving processes
  • Strong initiative to learn, teach, and to be a self-motivated professional
  • Understanding of financial and budget analysis
  • Ability to foster a culture of safety through personal ownership and a commitment to a safe environment
