We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician III to join our dynamic team in Greensboro, NC. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our production equipment and facilities.

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for performing advanced maintenance tasks, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of all equipment and systems within the facility. This role requires a strong background in electrical systems, proficiency with PLC software, and the ability to write and modify ladder logic. The ideal candidate will have experience with Allen Bradley systems and a solid understanding of logic working knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production equipment, including but not limited to, conveyors, packaging machines, and other automated systems.
  • Utilize Allen Bradley PLC software to write, modify, and troubleshoot ladder logic programs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment status, and parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior maintenance staff as needed.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on electrical systems and PLC programming.
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC software and the ability to write and modify ladder logic.
  • Strong electrical background with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Solid understanding of logic working knowledge and automated control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to industrial maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
