The floating cashier would be available to work at any of our locations, as needed. Schedule would include days, nights and weekends. Cashiers scan all merchandise from customers, accept payment, and make change for customers in a convenience store by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but not limited to:

• Stocks gondolas, coolers and other displays with merchandise
• Ensures accurate pricing on all merchandise either through shelf tag or price sticker
• Assists customers in any way necessary to ensure a pleasant shopping experience
• Accepts payment and makes correct change. Understands the use of EBT machine, lottery terminal, and cash register. Bag merchandise for customer
• Cleans shelves, gondolas, restrooms, outside parking areas, windows, trash cans, floors and any other areas deemed necessary by management
• Removes and records amount of cash in drawer at end of shift and accurately completes all required shift paperwork
• Observe and maintain control over gasoline dispensers
• Any other task not defined here but considered essential functions by store management

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Education and/or Experience: Minimum high school graduate or the equivalent. No prior experience necessary.
• Language Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with entire customer base so that all requests can be understood and completed in a timely manner. The ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
• Mathematical Skills: The ability to perform simple arithmetic functions with include but are not limited to: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Reasoning ability: To be able to use good judgement and common sense when dealing with customers
• Physical Demands: The ability to stand for long periods of time, able to lift 25+lbs on a consistent basis, ability to multitask, able to bend and reach properly while replenishing merchandise.
