Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Billing Specialist position is responsible for ensuring overall utility pricing and billing of construction work performed by jointly owned utilities. The Billing Specialist is personally responsible for the quality, accuracy, and integrity of billing documents processed through the NCJPA office.

Daily Duties:

• Meet or exceed minimum daily Production [20-25 per day] and Quality [90% error-free] standards

• Performs thorough, detailed analysis of billing practices to ensure compliance with Agreement, By Laws, Routine Handbook, and Authorized Cost/Price Schedule

• Random monthly sample of JPA pricing quality evaluations, in addition to routine daily evaluations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office [Word, Excel, Outlook]

• Professional, Positive, Emotionally Intelligent; able to positively interact with everyone

• Ability to efficiently and effectively organize manual workload

• Ability to adapt to changes in billing and other operational practices as implemented by the Administrative Board and Operations Manager

• Ability to effectively work with a variety of communication medium

• Conflict Management, Emotional Intelligence, Goal Focused, Team Focused, Member Focused
