Seeking a versatile SQL Database Administrator for a Contract role with our client, a leading supplier of petroleum fueling and EV charging system equipment, installation and service across the United States. This role is based in a suburb of Dallas, TX and estimated duration of the contract is a minimum of six months. The client is open to a remote work schedule yet they do prefer the candidate is located in Texas. Or at the very least lives in Central Time zone.

Essential responsibilities include, design, manage, and maintain the company databases (medium to high complexity). Manage access and data security and data integrity. Collaborate with the System Administrators and DevOps to optimize DBMS configuration, schema, queries, and systems to drive quality performance. This key role serves as part of the infrastructure support team and will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to the databases and database-driven applications. Successful candidates for this role will balance technical savvy, continuous learning, and a passion for customer satisfaction and results.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Design, manage, and maintain company databases supporting all enterprise applications
• Configure and tune SQL Server databases
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement
• Collaborate with other IT teams such as network, security, architecture, and application teams to design and implement database solutions that ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
• Table indexing, partitioning

• Other data maintenance as required to support the business
