Immediate Supervisor: LPC

 

 

 

 

 

The Recovery Specialist must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships.

 

 

 

 

 

● Assisting clients with care plan goals set by the LPC.

● Writing medical and suitable referral notes, as needed.

● Adheres to all current federal & state laws, as well as Pathways’ Policies and Procedures, including the safeguarding of confidential healthcare information and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA)

● Participates actively in quality assurance activities including performance and outcomes review, case record review, stakeholder satisfaction review, incident review, and improvement planning

● Facilitate group meetings for clients.

 

● Actively identify and support linkages to community resources (communities of recovery, educational, vocational, social, cultural, spiritual resources, mutual self- help groups, professional services, etc.) that support the recovering person’s goals and interests. This will involve a collaborative effort including the recovering person, agency staff and other relevant stakeholders.

● Support connections to community based, mutual self-help groups. Link individuals to appropriate professional resources when needed. Provide vision-driven hope and encouragement for opportunities.

● Travel is necessary for peer purposes. Purposes may include banks, doctors, NA/AA meeting etc...

● End of day charting for 8 units is required for each Peer Recovery Specialist.( These will be observation notes

 

 

 

 

 

 

● High school diploma/G.E.D. and 3 letters of recommendation; must have worked within the last three years with at least 12 months total of successful or part or full time paid or voluntary work

 

experience and have acquired or meet the qualifications for certification as a Certified Recovery Specialist.

 

● Excellent verbal communication skills.

● Committed to delivering culturally congruent treatment.

● Empathic, sensitive, and driven to foster healing.

● Understanding of confidentiality obligations.
