Our client is seeking a Controller to join their small team of highly-professional staff to continue delivering excellent products and services to their clients.  This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join a fast-growing company focused on taking care of their clients and their staff.  The Controller will be a key member of the leadership team driving financial and operational excellent into the future.

 

Job Description:

 

·         Experienced Controller or Senior Accountant to oversee all aspects of our financial management.

·         Must have a strong background in accounting and finance, as well as proven leadership skills.

·         Responsible for managing the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations, and providing strategic guidance to senior management.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

·         Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

·         Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

·         Manage the budgeting and forecasting process with the company ownership

·         Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

·         Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, including recommendations for cost-saving initiatives and revenue enhancement opportunities.

·         Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.

·         Mentor and develop accounts payable, receivable and payroll staff, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. - 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

·         Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.

·         Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is Required

·         Experience with Paychex or similar payroll software

·         Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is Required

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

·         Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
