Lauber Business Partners, Inc. is seeking an experienced staff accountant to provide services to our diverse and growing client base. Lauber is a rapidly growing provider of outsourced Accounting & Finance and Human Capital Services to small and midsized companies and non-profits. This position has an opportunity for rapid promotion as this service line grows. We offer a flexible, collaborative, collegial, learning-oriented workplace.

Responsibilities

· Process various accounting transactions

· Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results

· Analyze financial information and summarize financial status

· Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and accuracy

· Generate financial statements and reports

· Provide analysis of financial statements

· Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

· Assist in budget preparation

· Coordinate activities with auditors and tax accountants

· Perform month-end and year-end close process

· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Skills

· Experience performing monthly and year-end close processes

· Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like QuickBooks

· Strong MS Excel skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

· 2-5 years of experience as an accountant
