Key Qualifications

·         Diagnosing and treating common acute psychiatric problems, illnesses, and crises.·         Psychopharmacologic management in collaboration with a psychiatrist.·         Providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy.·         Caring for and counseling clients with commonly identified chronic psychiatric conditions.·         Coordinating and integrating multidisciplinary services for clients with complex psychiatric problems.·         Educating other nurses and communities on mental health concerns.·         Conducting and interpreting mental health assessments.·         Performing psychotherapy for the treatment of conditions.·         Performing exams and checkups for physical and mental health. Description


As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you must organically and passionately exhibit compassionate, emotional intelligence in the healthcare profession and are confident, efficient, and an empathetic leader. Your role will be diagnosing and treating patients while taking a holistic approach to medical care and understanding the connections between mental and physical health. You will work both as an individual and as part of a professional team to ensure patients from all backgrounds receive optimal psychiatric care. 

Education & Experience 

·         California Licensed Physician Assistant or California Licensed Nurse Practitioner with an advanced Health Program degree, at least 1 year experience with opioid drug users, prenatal care for opioid addicted pregnant and postpartum patients.·         Demonstrate an understanding of the pharmacology and physiologic effects of methadone·         Working knowledge of applicable portions of Title 9, CARF requirements, and Title 22 is desirable.·         Working Knowledge of or an ability to learn Basic Windows Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.·         Working knowledge of or an ability to learn Electronic Medical Records.·         Education: Relevant degrees such as Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Nursing.·         Licensing/Certifications: CPR, BCLS, BLS, CRRN, ACLS, ONS, NYS, CEN, TNCC, PALS.·         Desired Skills: EPIC EMR, health plan knowledge, reimbursement procedures, and analytical abilities·         Experience: At least 3 years of recent ER experience or 2 years in a level 1 or 2 trauma center or high-volume hospital emergency department.

 Pay & Benefits At Progress House, Inc. base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $100,000.00 and $160,000.00 annual salary and your base pay will be considered on your job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and relevant education.
