- Independently create schedules based on a thorough assessment of the program/project scope. This involves defining logical sequences, and cost loading the schedule.
- Responsible for developing and examining program and project-level schedules, along with allocating project resources and costs effectively, and incorporate into a CPM schedule using Primavera P6 Software.
- Develop baseline CPM reviews on construction contract schedules.
- Develop monthly CPM narratives on construction contract schedules, monitor construction progress, and perform reviews on schedule updates.
- Develop design schedule from a template and update schedules.
- Provide insights to the project team in managing project time, to keep the projects on track and within defined constraints.
- Prepare monthly schedule analysis reports and any ad-hoc reports as required by the project stakeholders.
- Attend project progress and schedule meetings.
- Maintain liaison with client and other consultants at all project stages.
Requirements
- A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
- Must provide writing samples; e.g., CPM Update Narratives, Time Impact Analyses, etc.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in both program-level and project-level scheduling for large infrastructure projects like commuter rail, bus, roadway, bridges, tunnels, stations, signal, power, and trackwork projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Primavera P6 (P6 construction scheduling experience), with at least 8 years or more of hands-on experience using this software.
- Demonstrated experience with complex project scheduling, time-impact analysis, delay claim management, contract acceleration
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, as well as heavy field interface experience
- Strong oral and written presentation skills required.
- Familiarity with the transportation agencies in the Greater New York City region, such as PANYNJ, MTA, Amtrak, NJ Transit, PATH, etc., will be an advantage.
- Certifications with PMI or AACEI is also preferable.
