Responsible for executing field assignments within the Company’s four service lines: Remediation, Waste Transportation, Industrial Maintenance, and Emergency Response.

Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Focus on the safety of Lewis staff at all times through proper safe practices, training, and enforcement of safety policy.
  • Support and adherence of Lewis Core Values: Safety, Integrity, Accountability and Quality.
  • Review work plans and equipment requirements to ensure efficient start and completion of projects.
  • Provide supervision of emergency spill calls in addition to assisting the response coordinator in efficiently responding to the emergency.
  • Quality control and quality assurance responsibilities to ensure projects are conducted in an efficient safe manner and within regulatory guidelines.
  • Maximize the utilization of Lewis owned resources and equipment when applicable.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of all assigned equipment.
  • Properly and thoroughly complete daily notes and company required paperwork, which includes obtaining a customer signature on daily time and material sheets.
  • Continued development of personal accreditations including field sampling procedures, hazardous materials handling, CDL endorsements and tank handling certifications for appropriate states and activity as well as other specialties as identified by management.
  • Safeguard confidential, sensitive or privileged information.
  • Enforcement of the standards of conduct as defined in the company handbook.
  • Implementation of disciplinary action policies as defined in the company handbook.
  • Communicate between departments for job needs and requirements for shift’s activities. For “typical” workday schedule, information needs to be communicated by noontime of the current workday.
  • Assist in performing secondary responsibilities as requested by management.
  • Perform pre-job/bid site walks with project managers, estimators, or sales representatives as necessary to ensure projects are bid and managed efficiently.
  • Conduct monthly field employee meetings to maintain good communication.
  • Review and evaluate lower tier field staff.
  • Commitment to general teamwork in support of all aspects of daily activities to ensure the profitability and sustained growth of the corporation.
  • Verify all permits and daily SPAs are completed and everyone is signed off on them.
  • Constant communication with other contractors to make sure everyone is working together.

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 Years’ experience in a comparable position in an Environmental Contracting Company
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Criminal Background.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must have flexibility in their personal schedule including weekend and on call rotation
  • Strong focus on Safety, Quality, Honesty, Integrity, and Teamwork.
  • 40 Hours OSHA as well as 10. As well as site specific and related Safety Training is a plus. All Provided by employer.
  • Position requires vaccination per client requirement.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 60 lbs
  • Ability to work in severe weather conditions both hot and cold
  • Ability to stand and exert physical effort for extended periods of time
  • Always requires near visual acuity, speaking and listening
  • Frequently requires sitting, standing, walking, grasping and reaching
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients,
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
