Goaltending Coach

Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of experience in Hockey development and coaching

  • Collegiate or Professional hockey background preferred.

  • Knowledge of USA Hockey

  • Background clearance required

  • Must be able to work in the US with a valid SSN

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Goaltending coach for the youth and junior teams.

  • Duties will include: coaching and instruction, practice and game preparation, recruiting, video breakdown, and evaluations.

  • It is a 28 week regular season plus playoffs

  • You will provide a weekly video breakdown for all goalies and provide a platform (Instat, Klevr, etc.) where they can view it.

  • You will meet with goaltenders weekly or bi-weekly about their game(s) and their improvement needed and track their progress in writing.

  • Duties will include: coaching and instruction, practice and game preparation, recruiting, video breakdown, with the specific schedule:

    • You will be on the ice 4 nights per week (5:00PM to ~9PM) with the youth teams (U8 - U16) for practices.

    • You will be on the ice 4-5 days per week with the junior teams and academy teams and will be on the bench as assigned.

 

More specifically, you will carry out the following duties:

  • Represent the organization as Goaltender Coach of the WBS Knights teams

  • Assist NCDC, USPHL Premier and Elite teams as well as the U18AAA team as needed throughout the season as assistant coach.

  • Assist in player advancement to college programs.
