Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and processing all accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently. This is a vital role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any payment-related issues or inquiries
- Perform general ledger reconciliation for accounts payable accounts
- Assist with payroll management, including data entry and analysis
- Utilize financial concepts to analyze vendor invoices and identify any potential errors or discrepancies
- Maintain knowledge of HRIS systems such as Kronos and PeopleSoft to ensure accurate processing of employee expenses

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and general accounting principles
- Proficient in data entry and general ledger reconciliation
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify errors or discrepancies in financial documents
- Familiarity with financial concepts and terminology
- Experience with accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
