General Overview –
The Sales position is responsible for going out and locating potential business in the commercial space. CNM provides low voltage infrastructure (Cameras, Data Drops, Security, etc.), office networking, server maintenance, and we're a Managed Service Provider (MSP) along with many other forms of IT support/service; we are a labor heavy industry and as such base our Quotas on labor sales. Quotas will be determined during hiring negotiations as well as salary/commission rates. It is expected that the salesperson maintains clean records for contacts, communications, and sales, and complies with all data filing that CNM has in place. They also need to ensure that Agreements stemming from a sale are being handled accurately so that no money is being left on the table.
Job Description –
The Sales role is a full-time salary/commission position working an average of 40 hours a week. Commission is negotiable, but our standard is 10%-15% of gross on all Labor Time sold beyond your quota (paid upon project completion to ensure the proposal was accurate). The standard working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday (flexible to client’s schedules). It is expected that if duties cannot be completed within the allotted 40-hour work week that extra time be put in to ensure a proper job has been done. This is not expected to be a standard, though as some weeks may be slower to others the extra time for certain periods should balance out. This position is also responsible for communicating with any staff working under them in an administrative capacity when available.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities –

- High School level education or higher.
- Five (5) or more years of Sales in the IT industry, or clear knowledge of the products CNM deals with.
- Reach Monthly Quotas for Labor Sales.
- Must be available for travel when necessary.
- Dress code should be business or business casual as this will be the standard when meeting with clients.
- Data entry and understanding the information needed from a client, familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management software (CNM Uses Autotask) is a plus.
- Work with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Work with Adobe Acrobat Software.
- Learn and follow CNM processes for data entry, opportunity filing and sales/service pipeline management.
- Work with CNM systems such as Autotask for customer data entry and Jetbuilt/QuoteWorks for understanding quotations and billing cycles.
- Learn and understand services and hardware sold as well as installation processes used by our technician staff.
- Visit worksites to meet and greet with clients as well as to better understand operational needs for the project.
- Work alongside operations to provide accurate labor deployment and management.
- Answer sales office phone calls.
