Job DescriptionJob Description

Forensic Treatment Agency is seeking to fill an Addiction Specialist position. The
agency serves a high need/high barrier adult population in the Los Angeles area.
Agency provides a variety of services that includes: mental health, substance
counseling, therapy, psychiatric and medication support, behavioral health, daily living
skills, and intensive case management services. We work closely with the courts and
the probation department. The ideal candidate is comfortable with working with this
population and is comfortable with fieldwork.

Duties

* Responsible for, but not limited to, planning, facilitating, implementing, and
coordinating substance treatment services to adults with a forensic background

* Individual substance counseling for clients

* Coordinate and implement group substance and behavioral treatment activities

* Coordinate services with various public and private community health, mental health,
and social service agencies to ensure appropriate services for clients.

* Participate, coordinate, and implement cooperative arrangements and/or team
conferences with various inter-disciplinary team members in the development and
implementation of client’s treatment plan and aftercare plan.

* Maintain and submit records in a timely manner, per SSG guidelines

* Maintain and update client’s files and documentation in accordance with DMH or DHS
guidelines

Secondary Functions

* Provide consultation to agencies and constituents of the community as appropriate

* Assist with other program activities as pertinent
Minimum Qualifications

* 1 yr experience working with justice involved individuals preferred

* Full COVID-19 vaccination (includes booster/s) required

* Verification of employment eligibility and background check

* Must not be on any type of legal supervision (probation or parole)

* Must have own transportation, valid California Driver’s License, and proof of
automobile insurance coverage.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary range: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
