Job Title: Early Childhood Lead Teacher

Salary Range: $18 - $22 per hour for qualified teachers and lead teachers

Hiring Range: $20+ per hour for 7 point Lead Teachers


Position Overview:

We are seeking passionate and experienced Lead Teachers specifically focusing on children ranging from toddlers to four year olds. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a nurturing and stimulating educational environment for young children and their families.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities to support the growth and development of children.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Establish strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to promote open communication and collaboration.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, and provide feedback to support individualized learning goals.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Continuously engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.


Qualifications:

  • Preference of Associate’s Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, and an equivalent amount of relevant education.
  • At least one (1) year of verifiable experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Dedication to creating an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment.

    • Life Insurance: Term life insurance is provided by MHC for full-time staff in the amount of $75,000. Supplemental life insurance is available for individual or family coverage.
    • Workers’ Compensation: This agency-paid benefit covers on-the-job injury.
    • 403B Plan: Employees can contribute to a tax-deferred annuity plan; MHC matches a portion of the contributed funds.
    • Credit Union: All employees are offered membership to the Coastal Credit Union (CCU).
