E.J. Basler Co is looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Schiller Park, IL location.
Position Summary:
Perform duties to assist other maintenance personnel on work assignments, lubricate equipment, maintain housekeeping conditions in work areas and perform routine preventive maintenance procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Work from preventive maintenance check lists, procedures, and instructions:
- Perform cleanup and minor repair of equipment.
- Perform all routine lubrication of equipment and fill out preventive maintenance check sheets.
- Perform routine cleaning and watering of lift truck batteries and assist in battery changes.
- Perform routine checks of all exit lights, fire extinguishers, and fire hoses and replace light bulbs as needed.
- Assist maintenance personnel as directed on work order assignments.
- Provide backup support to Janitor position if needed.
- Perform repairs and adjustments as directed by the maintenance manager.
- Assist maintenance personnel with work projects.
- Salt and shovel walkways as required.
- Use forklift truck, test kits, power band saw, power drill, drill press, tape measure, caliper, shovel, and hand tools.
- Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience
