Irrigation Technician

 

Full Time Position

Job Summary

We are looking for an Irrigation Technician to join our sprinkler installation and repair team. Our ideal candidate has some experience in irrigation and is comfortable working independently, but we are willing to train applicants with basic mechanical skills and a good work ethic. Since this job involves traveling to different locations to perform repairs, you must have a driver's license in good order.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnose Issues, Test systems for potential issues
  • Provide detailed reports of Irrigation systems, Use a computer program to accurately list parts used on the job
  • Repairs and maintains any and all pipes and sprinklers at locations
  • Performs periodic general maintenance on irrigation systems within assigned areas. 
  • Cleans and adjusts sprinkler heads to ensure proper function and coverage. Replaces or repairs broken equipment. 
  • Set and check timers/clocks to ensure proper operation and respond to any and all requests regarding irrigation in a timely manner.
  • Repair and install Irrigation clock
  • Pump Installation
  • Communication with the office
  • Work independently or with others
  • Trace wires and locate valves with equipment
  • Skills utilizing Excavators, Trenchers,  Multimeters, and pipe sizing

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Some training in irrigation or landscaping is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Dependable with strong work ethic
  • Work independently or as a Team Player
  • Daily Communication with the office
  • Effective oral communication and written skills
  • DFWP
  • Work involves considerable exposure to the elements, such as extreme temperatures, humidity, dirt, dust, pollen and/or loud noises.
  • Continuous standing and walking. Moderate to significant physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; digging, trenching, pushing, Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling. At times pulling required objects over 50 pounds.  
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
