About the Role: Vantedge Medical is seeking an experienced Snr Quality Engineer to assist with overseeing the quality assurance processes for our machining, metal fabrication, and assembly operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, with expertise in machining, metal fabrication, and assembly processes. The Snr QE will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards for quality and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system for machining, metal fabrication, and assembly operations.
  2. Establish quality standards and procedures in alignment with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  3. Support the development and implementation of quality control plans, inspection procedures, and process improvements to enhance product quality and consistency.
  4. Participate in regular audits and assessments of manufacturing processes, equipment, and personnel to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  5. Manage the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and tools used in machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
  6. Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to identify root causes of quality problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  8. Provide training and support to employees on quality principles, methods, and tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
  9. Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, trends, and data to drive decision-making and strategic initiatives for quality improvement.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and external auditors to promote transparency, trust, and collaboration in quality management.

Requirements / Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, quality management, or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in quality engineering roles within the manufacturing industry, with specific expertise in machining, metal fabrication, and assembly processes.
  3. Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  4. Experience with quality standards and certifications relevant to machining, metal fabrication, and assembly operations (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 9001, AS9100, and 21CFR820).
  5. Proficiency in quality management software systems and tools for document control, corrective action management, and data analysis.
  6. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  7. Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  9. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
