Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager with a proven track record in the HVAC distribution industry. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of sales experience, including experience working with sales agencies and managing direct reports. This role requires overnight travel (50%+), and the successful candidate will be comfortable and effective working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets and company objectives.
- Manage and support a team of sales professionals, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and career development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and sales agencies.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead in the industry.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and materials that enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and presentations to provide updates on performance, share best practices, and address any challenges.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote products and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with a significant portion in the HVAC distribution industry.
- Proven experience working with sales agencies and managing direct reports.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed business decisions.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50%+).
