This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluations.
- Provide acute, chronic, and preventive care services, including patient education and counseling.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate, in accordance with state regulations.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, and other office-based interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity and coordination of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance clinical skills.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited PA or NP program.
- Current and valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Florida.
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PAs or appropriate board certification for NPs.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a primary care or family practice setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge in primary care, including preventive care and chronic disease management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
