Salary - $110k to $140k

We're currently seeking a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer for a leading manufacturer in Wheatfield, Indiana. This person will play a vital role in the integration of new projects including installation and design of new vision systems and automation equipment. Also, a direct impact on safety, reliability, cost reduction, and process improvement at the facility

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical. process control, chemical engineering or a related degree in engineering is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Control Engineer, Automation Engineer, Instrumentation Engineering or Electrical Engineering role
  • Experience working in an automated plant. 
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical is a PLUS

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting operations and capital projects.
  • Utilize automation systems to increase the throughput, quality, safety and reliability of our processes. 
  • Provide conceptual system design for proposed projects and design documentation sufficient for construction, operations, and maintenance.
  • Develop engineering and capital cost estimates for assigned projects
  • Implement programming guidelines and standards.
  • Design, program, modify and maintain PLC and HMI systems.
  • Manage implementation of upgrades and new technology.
  • Create instrumentation and control system specifications.
  • Using AutoCAD electrical for designing of electrical schematics.
