We are seeking an experienced General Manager to assist the CEO in running in a large and growing construction business. The ideal candidate will be very strong in organizational and leadership skills, effectively create SOP's to run the day to day office and field staff, oversee HR, Payroll, and other company divisions, as well as liaison with the CEO and the rest of the staff. Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee our daily operations and communications.  Reporting to the CEO, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a General Manager or Office Manager within the construction industry or similar industry, with extensive experience in:  administrative leadership, leadership, leading team meetings, HR processes, and construction management. This role requires a dynamic leader who can effectively coordinate projects, manage a diverse team, and ensure operational excellence across all facets of the business.

Responsibilities: 

  • This role requires effective leadership skills, strong personnel management ability, strong financial acumen, and technological proficiency, crucial in propelling the company towards continued success

  • Oversee daily business operations and provide strategic leadership to ensure operational efficiency and project success.

  • Management of Staff including: Human Resources, Front Desk, and IT administrators. 

  • Manage and facilitate regular team meetings to ensure alignment and cohesion within the project and administrative teams.

  • Direct all aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and benefits administration.

  • Prepare office budgets and monitor office expenses.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote company culture and vision.

  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and employee satisfaction.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, providing regular updates on Office operations. 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Office Manager, preferably in the construction industry.

  • Exceptional People Manager: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams in a dynamic environment, ensuring high levels of employee engagement and performance.

  • Strong understanding and experience working in business functions such as HR, Operations, General Management, Safety Protocols and procedures in the Construction or similar industry.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of industry safety, legal rules and guidelines.

  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service, etc.).

  • BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus.
