Established psychiatric medical group with 40 years’ experience in workers’ compensation evaluation and treatment is seeking an administrative assistant /collection representative to perform in-house collection duties and to process legal documents.

Job Duties:

  • Performing administrative assistance duties
  • Audit patients' accounts and statements
  • Handling insurance calls and making demand calls to insurance companies
  • Drafting and processing Notice of Hearing, Declaration of Readiness to Proceed, Objection Letter
  • Maintaining and tracking filing liens in accordance with CA law and EAMS
  • Sending and tracking correspondence to insurance carriers
  • Reviewing and auditing account receivable
  • Preparing settlement documents

Requirements:

  • Excellent technical/legal writing and correspondence skills
  • Competent in general IT skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in medical office and/or law firm
  • Familiarity with HIPAA
