Job Title: Product Technician

Location: Lebanon, TN

Hours: Mon - Fri 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Pay: 24hr - 27hr

Primary Function: As a Product Technician, you will provide essential support and input to our Engineering team in evaluating and developing new products. Your responsibilities will encompass sheet metal layout and fabrication, welding, soldering, machining, as well as conducting safety and regulatory testing of consumer products.

Responsibilities:

  • Review project instructions and prints to determine test specifications, procedures, and objectives.
  • Set up and test units per diagrams and instructions to explore design proposals and obtain vital data for development and quality assurance.
  • Record and analyze results relevant to testing and evaluation.
  • Construct prototypes and test equipment per drawings.
  • Maintain safety standards and ensure a professional work area.
  • Develop skills in model making, sheet metal layout, fabrication, welding, machining, soldering, and metalworking.
  • Conduct test certification programs under the direction of test agency representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience supporting Engineering teams in new product evaluation and development.
  • Proficiency in sheet metal layout and fabrication, welding, soldering, and machining, with experience in safety and regulatory testing of consumer products.
  • Ability to use and service lab equipment effectively.
  • Proficient in basic algebraic functions and deadline management.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and rectify parameters indicating malfunctioning equipment.
  • Understanding of data collection procedures and interpretation of test data for performance evaluation.
