  2. Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to identify potential issues, ensure optimal performance, and prevent electrical hazards.

  3. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical problems, malfunctions, and breakdowns in commercial buildings. Utilize testing equipment and technical knowledge to efficiently troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.

  4. Repairs and Upgrades: Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty electrical components, such as circuits, switches, fuses, and motors. Recommend and implement upgrades to existing electrical systems for improved efficiency and safety.

  5. Lighting Systems: Install, maintain, and repair lighting fixtures and systems, including LED lighting, fluorescent lights, emergency lighting, and outdoor lighting.

  6. Power Distribution: Manage power distribution systems to ensure a balanced and safe flow of electricity throughout the building, preventing overloads and electrical failures.

  7. Electrical Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices to prevent electrical accidents, shocks, and fires. Educate clients and building occupants about electrical safety measures.

  8. Code Compliance: Stay updated with local electrical codes and regulations. Ensure that all electrical work meets the required standards and obtain necessary permits when required.

  9. Wiring and Circuitry: Install and repair electrical wiring, conduits, and cable trays. Ensure proper grounding and appropriate connections to safeguard against electrical disturbances.

  10. Customer Service: Interact with clients, building managers, and other stakeholders professionally. Address their inquiries, provide estimates for projects, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

  11. Documentation: Keep detailed records of electrical work performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and inventory of electrical materials and equipment.

  12. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers during construction or renovation projects involving electrical systems.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Valid electrician's license or journeyman certification as required by local regulations.
  • Proven experience as a commercial electrician, demonstrating a thorough understanding of electrical systems and commercial building requirements.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards related to commercial installations and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
