Office Locations: Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Florida

Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in commercial property repair, remodeling, and restoration

Education Level: College degree required

Compensation: Salary commensurate with knowledge and experience and job duties

The company is searching for an experienced Commercial Restoration and Roofing Service Estimator to meet with Project Managers and clients and provide quality estimating services and proposals. The estimator will coordinate full estimating services on large, complex work and various types of contracts, while providing top notch customer service for a variety of large, medium, and small-scale projects for a variety of clients simultaneously in the South Florida market.  Projects range in size from $5,000 to $10,000,000+.

 

Job Description:

Responsibilities

·       Perform daily tasks in scheduling, construction site visits, estimating and sales of all roofing, construction and restoration services provided by the National Group, including customer follow ups, materials ordering and management.

·       Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.

·       Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures.

·       Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures

·       Track awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit, procuring materials, etc.

·       Work with other departments to evaluate rates for estimating.

·       Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Skills:

·       Complete understanding of the construction industry

·       Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Extensive knowledge of financial operations

·       Proven risk management and contracting knowledge

·       Excellent management skills

·       Exhibits strong leadership qualities.

·       Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality

·       Ability to delegate work appropriately

Qualifications: 

·       Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field.

·       Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience acceptable

·       3-5 years’ experience in commercial construction and roofing applications, management, and estimating

·       Knowledge of all types of commercial roof systems and applicable repair methods

·       Thorough knowledge of construction estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, cost control systems and accounts

·       Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

·       Demonstrated problem solving skills by using persistence and ability to overcome obstacles.

·       Proficiency with MS Office and email.
