Civil litigation law firm located in Cary, NC is seeking a full-time paralegal or legal assistant with North Carolina civil litigation experience. We need someone with strong organizational skills and solid time management skills who is very detail oriented. We require someone who is proactive and who wants to become an integral part of our growing law firm. Please include a cover letter and resume when responding.

Some of the job duties include:

· Maintaining attorneys' calendars and scheduling depositions, mediations, and court appearances.

· Opening and setting up incoming cases and files.

· Handling word processing duties, including pleadings, reports, discovery and correspondence.

· Processing, organizing and scanning mail.

· Communicating promptly, professionally and accurately with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsels, mediators, arbitrators and court personnel.

· Work with other office staff to manage all aspects of attorneys’ case loads.

Our requirements are as follows:

· Some civil litigation experience in North Carolina.

· Excellent communication, writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills.

· Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, and email.

· Punctual, reliable, pleasant, professional and a positive attitude.

SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE
