Job Description:

As a Compensation Data Analyst, you'll be an integral part of the team, reporting to the Total Rewards & Compensation Manager. Your primary responsibility will involve supporting the Operations & Finance departments by creating, consolidating, and managing crucial HR financial data and reporting. The role necessitates adept financial and data analysis skills to showcase brand and systemwide Key Performance Indicator (KPI) performance metrics. You'll be engaged in diverse tasks such as calculating bonuses and commissions for each brand, conducting salary band analyses, and providing support and employee facing communication to internal operations, finance, and accounting teams. This position requires adaptability to a dynamic work environment and a drive for continual process improvement within your areas of responsibility. Your proficiency in leveraging Excel's advanced functionalities, Tableau, and potentially VBA/macros will be crucial for driving financial and data-driven decision-making processes and enhancing our business operations.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Total Rewards & Compensation Manager and key stakeholders to create, consolidate, and manage HR financial data and reporting.
  • Conduct financial and data analysis to demonstrate brand and systemwide KPI performance metrics.
  • Calculate bonuses and commissions for each brand across the organization.
  • Perform salary band analyses and other reporting around salary metrics.
  • Provide support and communication to internal operations, finance, and accounting teams.
  • Drive continual process improvement within your areas of responsibility.
  • Analyze complex data sets and create impactful visualizations to assist key stakeholders on making business decisions.
  • Provide actionable insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Utilize Excel's advanced functionalities, Tableau, and potentially VBA/macros to optimize business operations.
  • Effective time- management skills in planning tasks, setting realistic deadlines, and allocating sufficient time for each task to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Compensation Analyst, with a minimum of 3 + years of employment experience in a HR, finance, or data analysis-focused role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, and Operational teams.
  • Knowledge of compensation principles and practices such as salary band structures, market pricing, incentive compensation and other aspects of compensation management.
  • Expertise in working with relational databases to extract and manipulate data efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify meaningful insights.
  • Strong analytical skills and an expert user of Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, graphs, scenario modeling, VBA/marcos etc.) and PowerPoint.
  • Detail oriented and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
