Position Summary:

A Mechanical Conveyor Installer is responsible for the nationwide assembly, installation, dismantling, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of conveyor systems. This role demands strong mechanical expertise, including the ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics. The position requires travel and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems.

Location: MUST LIVE IN THE AREA. Our facility is conveniently located in Oakland, FL, 23 minutes from Orlando.


Position Responsibilities:

  • This position requires 75% travel, and flexibility to travel on short notice.
  • Read and interpret mechanical design engineered drawings for electrical requirements (e.g. SolidWorks).
  • Responsible for the entire mechanical installation at customer sites.
  • Mechanically inclined and able to install and troubleshoot conveyors.
  • Check quality of assemblers and technicians work and respond to inquiries during assembly.
  • Must complete timely data entry into company data acquisition system in accordance with company policy.
  • Applies mastery of skills and adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment, as appropriate to the needs of the project.
  • Competent with several types of conveyor product lines.
  • Works closely with assigned project manager on customer related issues and schedule requirements and conforms safety for all employees.
  • Understand and comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Track all parts and jobs into the SAP system.
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
  • Maintain housekeeping and general clean up duties throughout the site.
  • Completes work priorities as assigned by supervisors.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be available to travel for work on short notice.
  • Must hold a valid Driver's License and good driving records.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics and identify parts.
  • Ability to work at heights of up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Knowledge in using hand tools and measurements.
  • Good knowledge of how to safely operate pneumatic, hand and electrical tools.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within conveyor systems installations.
  • The ability to walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and crawl around equipment.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Well organized, analytical, and detail oriented.
  • Work well with others and work as a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
  • Display and maintain enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
  • Must cooperate with other associates in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in Conveyor system installation, layout, and component pre-assembly.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
