Shift:
This is a 13-week contract position with day shift hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break.
Responsibilities:
As a Nutrition Specialist, you will conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and evaluations, ensuring that patients receive personalized dietary plans tailored to their specific needs. You'll collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement nutrition programs aimed at optimizing patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will also include providing ongoing support and education to patients, empowering them to make informed choices about their health and nutrition. Additionally, you'll contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to nutrition services and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field. Certification as a Registered Dietitian and licensure in the state of Virginia are required. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience in a clinical nutrition setting, demonstrating proficiency in conducting nutritional assessments and developing dietary plans. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
