General Manager
The rapid growth of our company has created the opportunity for a seasoned General Manager who can step in and immediately contribute and be the “right hand” of the owner of the company. General Manager responsibilities include, managing sales, directing people, analyzing financial data and enforcing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Ultimately, you'll help our company grow and thrive.
Our company employs a division of roustabouts and a division of operators using heavy dirt moving equipment, all in service to our oil & gas industry customers, working locations throughout the West Texas oil patch.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Manages Sales & Operations personnel to a safe, profitable, and reliable operation.
· Develops & implements revenue growth plan directing Sales and Operations.
· Review and analyze financial reports for opportunities and trouble spots.
· Responsible for the profitability of all trade work completed.
· Lead, manage and hold the team accountable for results.
· Ensures all parts, materials, tools, and equipment for all jobs are delivered to the job sites on time.
· Develops & implements revenue growth plan.
· Capacity strategy and planning.
· Represents Operations in management meetings and presents related metrics.
· Conducts employee coaching or performance correction measures where needed.
· Ensures labor level for work available & directs recruiting measures to assure proper fit.
Essential Qualifications:
· Five years’ experience as a proven General Manager or similar leadership role in the oil & gas contracting industry.
· Sales management experience.
· Strong interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills.
· Business and Financial acumen to lead a contracting business.
· Four-year degree in business administration, or operations management preferred, but not required.
· Ability to lead and motivate the roustabout and dirt moving managers.
· Superior oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to set goals, problem-solve, and implement solutions.
· The ability to be agile and meet constantly changing customer demands.
· Strong analytical ability and problem-solving aptitude.
· Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word and Excel software.
· Self-motivated with the desire to drive the business to success.
